Senior Software Engineer Fullstack – AI Focus

We are among the leading online shops in Switzerland in both B2C and B2B, operating one of the most modern, highly automated, scalable logistics systems in Europe. The team is small and cross-functional, focused on relevant AI topics within the company, working pragmatically in an agile setup alongside a Product Manager and Team Lead.

• 10+ years of experience in modern, product-oriented software engineering.
• Experience working on complex, distributed systems, ideally in e-commerce or comparable domains.
• Strong proficiency in Java or comparable programming languages.
• Expertise in AI-first development with over 90% of code created with AI tools.
• Familiarity with building systems for AI: in-code ADRs, agent files, MCP integrations, multi-agent setups, or autonomous loops.
• Ability to align development processes with AI, including spec-driven refinements, automated PRs, and AI-supported code reviews.
• Skilled in applying deterministic quality controls: testing, linting, static analysis.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, Clean/Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Design, SOLID principles.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure and CI/CD operations.
• Resilience to persevere through complex problems to successful solutions.
• Strong communication skills and value for an open learning culture.

• Participate in a small cross-functional agile team consisting of engineers, a Product Manager, and Team Lead.
• Work on a large-scale Java project addressing scaling challenges.
• Refine requirements through direct contact with the business.
• Contribute actively to architecture, product decisions, and UX.
• Maintain end-to-end responsibility for features, from backend architecture to user interfaces.
• Build and operate infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines supporting AI-first development.
• Implement strong quality gates including tests, linting, and static code analysis to ensure trustworthiness of AI-generated code.
