Data Engineer

Scalo delivers software projects and supports partners in business development, offering diverse IT services including embedded systems, cloud solutions, data management, and dedicated project teams.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes and batch or stream data processing
• Very good knowledge of SQL
• Very good knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language, e.g., Python
• Knowledge of data warehouses, data lake/lakehouse, process orchestration, and processing monitoring
• Experience in query optimization, handling large data volumes, and ensuring data quality
• Skills in code repository, code review, and testing
• Ability to create technical documentation

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD tools for data solutions

• Participation in a banking project
• Designing, building, and maintaining data flows and ETL/ELT processes
• Implementing transformations, validations, data quality rules, and error control mechanisms
• Integrating data from source systems into analytical structures
• Optimizing the performance of queries and data processing
• Preparing technical tests, documentation, and supporting change deployments
• Collaborating with data analysts, data modelers, architects, and maintenance teams
• Hybrid work mode including office presence in Warsaw 2 days per week
