QA Specialist

Ruby Labs is a leading tech company creating and operating innovative consumer products across health, education, and entertainment industries.

• 3+ years hands-on QA experience in product or SaaS environment.
• Strong experience with test automation, especially Playwright and TypeScript.
• Solid experience with API testing using Postman or similar.
• Working knowledge of SQL for backend data validation.
• Experience testing subscription funnels, checkout flows, and payment systems.
• Excellent attention to detail with a structured testing approach.
• Strong ownership mindset.
• Comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have:

• Experience with performance or load testing tools like k6 or Locust.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, especially GitHub Actions.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Sentry or Better Stack.
• Background in fintech, subscription, or health/wellness digital products.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.

• Test web applications and native Android and iOS applications.
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans using Playwright and TypeScript covering functional, regression, edge cases, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Perform exploratory and risk-based testing.
• Investigate customer complaints, reproduce issues, and determine issue origin before escalation.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate backend APIs using Postman or equivalent tools.
• Use SQL queries to verify data correctness and integrity at the Postgres database level.
• Validate complete user flows across product, Mixpanel analytics, payment dashboards, Customer.io email data, and database.
• Document bugs with detailed reproduction steps, environment details, logs, and screenshots.
• Prioritize issues by severity and communicate critical path impacts urgently.
