Google Cloud Delivery Architect

The role is within the Google Cloud Delivery team at CommIT, recognized as Google Cloud Partner of the Year 2024–2026. The team is focused on delivering cloud infrastructure projects end to end, specifically on Google Cloud Platform.

• Hands-on, deep production experience with Google Cloud (GCP).
• Expertise in Terraform, including modular reusable code, remote state management, and importing existing environments.
• Proficient English for customer-facing interactions such as workshops, weekly meetings, and handovers.
• Experience with Kubernetes and GKE in production, including private clusters, node pools, autoscaling, RBAC, Workload Identity, Helm, and ingress.
• Knowledge of networking and security concepts including VPC design, Cloud NAT, DNS, VPN, Private Service Connect, firewall policies, IAM, Org Policies, and Secret Manager.
• Competence in CI/CD using GitHub Actions, container workflows, and GitOps tools like Argo CD.
• Working knowledge and fluency in the source cloud environment (AWS or Azure) for migration purposes.
• Proficient daily usage of AI tools with judgment for acceptance and rejection.

• Deliver AWS/Azure to GCP migrations including EKS to GKE, RDS to Cloud SQL, and S3 to Cloud Storage.
• Design and implement Cloud Foundations (Landing Zones) including resource hierarchy, IAM, Organization Policies, network topology, and security controls codified in Terraform.
• Design and deploy Kubernetes platforms on GKE, including private clusters, Workload Identity, Helm add-ons, ingress, and Cloud Armor.
• Enable DevOps and Infrastructure as Code by importing environments into Terraform, creating reusable modules, and implementing GitHub Actions with Workload Identity Federation and Argo CD.
• Own customer engagement with weekly meetings, board and hours reporting, scope protection via change management, early budget deviation flagging, and handover documentation including runbooks and knowledge transfer.
