Professional Services Engineer (SW Developer)

The company is a Global Services & Customer Engagement organization focused on complex customer environments with an emphasis on AI and professional services. The role is part of the Field Deployment Engineering (FDE) program with a global scope and requires up to 50% international travel across Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

Must-have skills:

• 7+ years in backend engineering, preferably with Python (also accepts Node.js, Java)
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and data-pipeline integration
• Practical experience with AI/ML including LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic), agentic workflows, production AI tooling
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, GCP, containerization with Docker, orchestration with Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Professional services background including field engineering, solutions consulting, and customer-facing delivery; scoping and architecting with enterprise customers
• Experience with enterprise data environments including SQL, NoSQL, data transformation, ETL
• Strong customer engagement and communication skills including executive briefings and technical sessions; willingness to travel up to 50%
• Leadership skills including influencing without authority and mentoring engineers in distributed teams

Nice to have:

• Experience in digital investigations, public safety, law enforcement, or intelligence technology sectors
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Gainsight or other CS/PS operations platforms
• Experience designing or delivering training/enablement programs for technical audiences
• Experience supporting customers across multiple regions with varying compliance, legal, and operational requirements

FDE Program — Technical Ownership:

• Own technical definition, scoping methodology, and quality standards globally
• Partner with regional directors and delivery teams to scope engagements and define solution architecture
• Travel onsite to lead workshops, architecture sessions, and deployment reviews
• Build reusable frameworks, templates, and tooling for global scale

Software Engineering & Customization:

• Design, develop, and deliver custom integrations, workflows, and extensions connecting Cellebrite platforms with customer environments (APIs, data pipelines, automation layers)
• Engage with enterprise customers to co-design solutions and validate technical outcomes
• Translate complex customer requirements into robust, maintainable technical solutions
• Maintain a library of reusable solution components and accelerators

Technical Escalation & Architecture:

• Serve as final internal escalation point for complex deployment challenges and architecture questions
• Travel to customer sites for high-stakes engagements
• Conduct architecture reviews for non-standard/high-complexity implementations
• Collaborate with R&D and Product teams

Internal Automation & Process Innovation:

• Identify and build AI-powered automated tools to improve service delivery efficiency
• Apply LLM-based tooling, agents, and workflow automation to internal processes
• Champion continuous engineering improvement
