Senior Node.js Engineer

CommIT is a company with an engineering team focused on building scalable, high-performance systems primarily using cloud infrastructure like AWS. The team works on microservices, Big Data processing services, and data platforms supporting real-time applications.

• At least 5 years of experience as a backend developer.
• In-depth experience developing APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, ClickHouse, or equivalents.
• Experience with event streaming and queuing solutions like Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, or equivalents.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript, Node.js, and frameworks such as Express.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and its challenges.
• Understanding of fundamental scalable application design principles.
• Experience designing and implementing data ingestion, transformation, and processing workflows.
• Experience with automated testing modules and unit tests.
• Proficient with code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Experience with cloud services like AWS and GCP.
• Experience working with Linux.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes.

• Lead the architecture and design of scalable, fault-tolerant Node.js applications, microservices, Big Data processing systems, and data pipelines in a cloud environment (primarily AWS).
• Utilize AWS services including EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, Kafka/MSK, and SQS to ensure availability, security, and performance.
• Build and manage distributed, high-load microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Design and develop integrations and Big Data processing pipelines for large data volumes across operational and analytical systems.
• Optimize Node.js applications and data processing workloads for performance under high load.
• Implement advanced multithreading techniques to enhance performance and concurrency.
• Write clean, maintainable code adhering to industry best practices and design patterns.
• Integrate with multiple external APIs and process large volumes of data flexibly.
