iOS RTC Software Engineer

Rakuten Viber is one of the most popular and downloaded apps in the world. The company aims to make people's lives easier by enabling meaningful connections through a super-app. The role is within the RTC team focused on developing, analyzing, and optimizing Viber calls across platforms, specifically on iOS.

• Deep knowledge of Swift and Objective-C including OOP, data structures, multithreading, and interoperability.
• Experience with WebRTC, iOS CallKit, and AVAudioSession.
• Understanding of how the TCP/IP stack works.
• Intermediate or higher level of English.

• Integrate and fine-tune the WebRTC library on iOS.
• Develop signaling protocols for call management.
• Optimize media capturing and processing.
• Improve CPU, traffic, and battery consumption during calls.
• Gather and analyze call statistics.
• Work collaboratively in a team, plan technical solutions carefully, prioritize tasks, and operate with minimal supervision.
