Software Engineer: Python / Go (Splunk)

• 2+ years of software engineering experience with a Computer Science/Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of Python and/or Go; eagerness to work mainly in Python.
• Hands-on experience with React or another modern front-end framework is beneficial.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience working with Kubernetes, including kubectl, and Docker containers.
• Experience with designing and working with RESTful APIs.
• Mastery of test-driven development and various levels of automated tests (unit, functional, integration).
• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Participate in design, implementation, and delivery of software in line with system architecture and requirements.
• Maintain and debug the existing technology stack.
• Collaborate closely with product management, architects, UX, and the engineering team to build features and reusable components.
• Build, analyze, and optimize backend services primarily in Python and Go focusing on simplicity, efficiency, reliability, and performance.
• Contribute to React-based user interfaces and reusable front-end components when aligned with skills and interests.
• Improve existing code independently while maintaining quality standards.
• Understand challenges and trade-offs in building and deploying production systems.
• Lead code reviews and use customer experience knowledge to prevent issues.
• Follow Agile software development lifecycle and contribute to engineering culture through testing, observability, and operational excellence.
