Software Engineer, Webex - Graduate - Poland

Cisco's Webex Engineering Group builds collaboration products like Slido, Webex Meetings, Webex Calling, and Webex Contact Center. The team is based in Krakow and operates a hybrid working model.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 0–3 years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent internship/project experience.
• Foundational knowledge of backend development and server-side architecture.
• Strong desire to quickly learn and apply backend technologies.
• Ability to work effectively in team-oriented environments.
• Strong communication skills and proactive problem-solving.
• High attention to detail and commitment to reliable, scalable results.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic familiarity with Java, Node.js, or Python.
• Exposure to web application frameworks (e.g., Spring) and databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Kafka).
• Familiarity with Git and basic CI/CD concepts.
• Interest in AI-powered coding tools.
• Proactive desire to debug and resolve production issues in distributed systems.

• Assist in development and maintenance of backend features focusing on service logic, API development, and data processing.
• Support backend services development using Java, Node.js, or Python.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate backend services via RESTful APIs.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and testing to ensure scalable code quality.
• Help monitor system performance and resolve backend technical issues with senior team support.
• Utilize AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to enhance development.
• Support the full software development lifecycle collaboratively.
• Maintain commitment to continuous learning, code quality, and operational excellence.
