Junior Software Engineer (Go + Cloud)

The position is within the App Runtime team, which builds tools for other developers to use in Splunk stacks, creating building blocks and environments to enable other engineers. • Strong motivation to learn and improve technical skills.
• Software engineering experience in SaaS application development.
• Experience with Go in a production environment.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and other container technologies.
• Knowledge of operating system inner workings, preferably Linux.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Python.
• Knowledge of C++.
• Experience with AWS or Azure.
• Understanding of computer networks.
• Insight into gRPC protocol.

• Contribute to design, implementation, and delivery of software according to requirements and system architecture.
• Maintain existing technology stack and debug issues.
• Collaborate with product management, architects, and the team to build features and reusable components.
• Create, enhance, and encourage robust automated test suites and continuous integration.
• Participate in code reviews and proactively prevent future problems using customer experience feedback.
• Follow the agile SDLC process.
