Software Engineer, Early in Career (Cracow, Poland)

The position is within the IT Workforce Collaboration (IT WFC) organization at Cisco IT, focused on improving the collaboration portfolio for a Fortune 100 enterprise by redefining employee workplace experiences. The team is global, multi-functional, and works to build technology solutions for handling real estate, utilities, and capital projects.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience up to 2 years.
• Experience with TypeScript and React (or equivalent modern SPA frameworks).
• Experience with Python for web or service development.
• Knowledge and experience with REST APIs, HTTP request/response contracts, and authentication patterns.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL, including data modeling.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Eligible to live and work in Poland without additional VISA sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work efficiently in global, multi-functional, agile environments.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as GCP or AWS.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks like Cypress or Playwright.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Co Pilot for GitHub).

• Maintain business-critical applications at scale.
• Apply security-first practices to software solutions.
• Participate in observability and continuous improvement efforts.
