Technical Projects Systems Engineer

By providing compelling demonstrations of how Cisco products enhance productivity, the team helps sales teams expand opportunities and accelerate the sales cycle. • Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in a technical role.
• Deep hands-on expertise across multiple Cisco technologies including Security, Networking, Data Center, or Service Provider products.
• Knowledge of AI/ML and Splunk is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating guides and delivering demonstrations.
• Experience with customer-facing content creation and public speaking.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE), VMware, or Red Hat certifications.

Demo Engineering & Development (60%):

• Build and maintain expert-level knowledge of Cisco’s security product portfolio.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and develop demo topologies and use cases.
• Develop demo content using proprietary tools, virtual machines, appliances, simulators, and hardware.
• Optimize demo performance and stability using VMware vCenter.
• Partner with NetOps for installation and maintenance of Cisco hardware in demo environments.
• Maintain Cisco Security product environments.
• Drive automation with Python, Terraform, PowerShell, and REST APIs.
• Create, test, and troubleshoot demo/lab/story guides to enhance sales effectiveness.

Platform Design & Documentation (20%):

• Provide intuitive and accurate technical guides for demo content.
• Use tools like Visio, PowerPoint, and Jira to design and document projects.

Technical Support & Issue Resolution (10%):

• Provide expert technical support to L1/L2 engineers and Program Managers.
• Diagnose, replicate, and resolve technical issues including remote troubleshooting.
• Recommend preventative measures to minimize demo disruptions.
• Manage escalations to resolution.

Project Management & Collaboration (5%):

• Manage project tasks and communicate goals and progress across the organization.

Training & Customer Engagement (5%):

• Lead technical training labs and presentations for internal and external customers.
• Educate users on the progression from learning to deciding on Cisco solutions.
