Senior Engineer Cloud Infrastructure

Cisco SD-WAN Cloud Team (Previously, Viptela Cloud Team) builds, deploys, and manages the entire SD-WAN cloud infrastructure for enterprises and service providers. The team works with multiple clouds and collaborates with various teams including outsourced operations, SD-WAN solution team, Cloud development and test teams to orchestrate controllers and services for SD-WAN through the entire lifecycle.

• Masters or bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field.
• 6+ years experience with web applications/services and public cloud platforms: AWS/Azure/Google.
• 6+ years relevant experience in operations, technical/customer support roles in Cloud.
• Experience with orchestration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of web-based applications/services.
• Knowledge of IP networking, security, and access mechanisms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with private cloud platforms such as VMWare and OpenStack.
• Proficiency with Python/Perl/TCL and Linux/Unix administration.
• Strong team building skills and ability to work across departments.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks independently with minimal guidance.
• Strong sense of ownership and teamwork.

• Orchestrate controllers and services for SD-WAN.
• Manage entire ordering, provisioning, onboarding, and complete lifecycle of SD-WAN controllers.
• Collaborate with SD-WAN solution team, Cloud development, test teams, and outsourced operations.
