Tetragon Threat Detection Engineer - Isovalent

Cisco is a company innovating in data and infrastructure security solutions with a 40-year history, providing security, visibility, and insights across digital footprints worldwide.

• 3+ years experience in threat and/or vulnerability research
• 3+ years experience developing security detections at scale
• 3+ years experience in Linux system security (e.g., capabilities, LSMs)
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with eBPF and its security applications
• Experience with cloud-native ecosystem (containers, Kubernetes) and Linux implementation (e.g., Linux cgroups, namespaces)

• Develop and maintain Tetragon runtime security policies for visibility and protection against threats
• Design frameworks and architectures for policy consumption and security posture understanding
• Monitor vulnerability disclosures (CVEs) and threat intelligence to develop security policies
• Collaborate with software engineers at Isovalent and Cisco to enhance Tetragon capabilities
• Support and deploy Tetragon security policies in production with solution architects and customers
• Publish content and present talks based on work
