Software Engineer - Device Automation

Cisco is a technology company focused on digital and AI era solutions, connecting and securing data and infrastructure worldwide. The Device Automation team operates within Cisco IT, focusing on delivering innovative digital solutions and driving business transformation.

• 7+ years of experience as a Software Developer.
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming using languages such as Java and JavaScript.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, GraphQL, or other relevant web technologies.
• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years or Master's with 3+ years in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
• Strong understanding of IT Asset Lifecycle Management (preferred).
• Proficiency in data modelling, data architecture, and data structures (preferred).
• Certifications in ServiceNow Application Development, System Administration, or Implementation Specialist (preferred).
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies (preferred).
• Familiarity with Mobile Device Management platforms (preferred).
• Previous experience with public cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, GCP (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (preferred).

• Lead design, development, and deployment of modules and applications such as ServiceNow.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather and translate functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Perform system and integration testing using sample and live data.
• Monitor health, usage, and compliance of the ServiceNow platform.
• Develop software solutions and applications based on business needs.
• Create and manage scripts and workflows within ServiceNow.
• Provide training and support to ServiceNow end-users.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ServiceNow capabilities and features.
• Work closely with IT project management to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the ServiceNow platform and integrations.
