Technical Leader Java

IT Factory is a dynamic company experienced in development, implementation, and support of IT solutions, working for a significant Polish company in the insurance and financial sector.

Must have:

• Very good practical experience with Java
• Minimum 5+ years designing and building web systems
• Experience in microservice architectures and distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of architectural and integration patterns, API design, and system integration
• Strong knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Practical experience with relational databases (SQL, query optimization)
• Practical experience with Event-Driven Architecture
• Practical experience with end-to-end observability and application security principles
• Experience in code review, mentoring, and leading technical teams
• Experience working cross-teams, making technological decisions and risk assessment
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• English language proficiency at least B2

Nice to have:

• Basic/practical knowledge of cloud platforms (preferred Azure)
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of Agentic AI / AI in SDLC (e.g., AI in development, automation, architectural decision support)

• Design and implement microservice architecture solutions using Java
• Develop and evolve APIs and integrations with internal systems
• Co-create system architectures and make technical decisions aligned with program assumptions
• Ensure quality, performance, security, and scalability of delivered solutions
• Design solutions using architectural patterns, Event-Driven Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Participate in analysis, design, and estimation of business and technical requirements
• Support Product Owners, analysts, and architects in assessing feasibility and technical risks
• Participate in Discovery and Inception workshops, decomposing epics into features and preparing backlog
• Conduct code reviews, mentor programmers, and develop team technical competencies
• Support the team in resolving technical challenges and maintaining software development standards
• Collaborate with project, architectural, integration teams and external providers
• Co-define and implement CI/CD processes, observability, and DevOps practices
• Support setup and maintenance of development, integration, and test environments using Docker, Kubernetes
• Identify, analyze, and escalate technical risks affecting program execution
• Promote and support the use of AI and Agentic AI tools in software development and automation
