QA ENGINEER (K/M) K/M

ASTEK Polska is hiring for a QA Engineer role involving software testing in backend API automation for SOAP/XML and REST/JSON in the OTA (Online Travel Agency) domain.

• Practical experience in software testing, including creating test plans, executing test scenarios, defect reporting, and test data management
• Proficient with API testing using SoapUI, REST, and JSON
• Knowledge of Groovy for test automation scripting and understanding of Java for modifying shared frameworks
• Experience with SOAP/XML standards including WSDL, XSD, and XPath
• Skilled in data-driven testing with inputs from Excel and CSV
• Familiarity with JSON, YAML, regular expressions, Git, basic Linux, and SQL
• Experience working in Scrum teams
• Fluent spoken and written English communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience in hotel, tourism, OTA, or GDS domains
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• Experience with load and performance testing tools like JMeter
• Familiarity with AI-assisted programming tools like GitHub Copilot CLI and their use in test analysis and maintenance

• Designing, creating, and executing automated backend API tests for SOAP/XML and REST/JSON
• Developing and maintaining data-driven test scenarios based on Excel and CSV for different test environments
• Writing Groovy scripts in SoapUI to orchestrate tests, including chaining requests and managing dynamic data properties
• Analyzing failed tests across microservices to distinguish software bugs from environment or reference data issues
• Collaborating closely with developers within Agile/Scrum teams, including requirements analysis and defining acceptance criteria
