Senior Data Architect (k/m)

Lumicode Sp. z o.o. is part of the Pentacomp Group, which has been providing IT solutions and technology services for nearly 30 years to major enterprises and public sector institutions. The company delivers projects supporting digital transformation by combining experience with modern technologies. The Senior Data Architect role is for a project with a large organization in the energy sector.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in data and IT technologies, including about 4 years as Data Architect, Lead Data Architect or similar.
• Practice in designing data architecture for large and complex organizations.
• Strong knowledge of patterns like Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse, Data Hub, Data Fabric, Data Mesh.
• Experience creating architectural documentation, models, diagrams, and Architecture Decision Records (ADR).
• Practical knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT, data integration, and APIs.
• Knowledge of event-driven and streaming processing.
• Experience designing data architectures supporting analytics, AI, and machine learning.
• Familiarity with Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Master Data Management, and data lifecycle management.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS.
• Knowledge of modern data platforms and technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, or similar.
• Knowledge of data security principles, access management, information classification, and GDPR.
• Ability to translate business needs into architectural decisions and technology requirements.
• Independence in decision-making and ability to communicate between business and IT.
• Very good knowledge of Polish and English for working with documentation and technical partners.

Nice to have:

• Experience in energy, telecommunications, finance, infrastructure, or other regulated environments.
• Familiarity with measurement, telemetry, network, billing, customer, technical, or geospatial data.
• Experience integrating IT and OT environments and working with real-time data.
• Knowledge of NIS2 or critical infrastructure requirements.
• Familiarity with TOGAF, DAMA-DMBOK, ArchiMate, or similar standards.
• Certifications in architecture, cloud, data, or security.
• Experience in legacy system modernization and migration of data platforms to the cloud.
• Practice with data catalog, data lineage, data marketplace, or data products.

• Design and develop the target data architecture for the organization.
• Design data flows between source systems, integration platforms, data repositories, reporting solutions, and AI/ML.
• Design solutions operating in on-premise, private cloud, and public cloud environments.
• Create conceptual and logical data models and ensure their consistency with physical solutions.
• Define standards for modeling, integration, storage, sharing, and data lifecycle.
• Co-develop approaches for Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Master Data Management.
• Design solutions related to data security, information access, and protection of sensitive data.
• Analyze and review project architectures for compliance with established standards.
• Prepare architectural recommendations, roadmaps, and analyses of various technology alternatives.
• Support teams working on analytics, automation, AI, reporting, and process optimization.
• Collaborate with other architects including corporate, cloud, integration, security, and AI architects.
• Share knowledge and support the development of competencies related to data architecture.
