Solution Architect - Pharmaceutical R&D

On behalf of a client in the pharmaceutical industry, we are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to support the modernisation of digital research applications and design solutions integrating commercial and internally developed systems.

• Strong software architecture and solution design experience within pharmaceutical research IT
• Experience with research data management and scientific digital solutions
• Knowledge of applications and architectures supporting automated, high-throughput screening environments
• Strong cloud-native architecture experience
• Technical experience with at least one object-oriented programming language; .NET/C# and Python are preferred
• Hands-on experience with microservices and event-driven architectures, including Apache Kafka/event streaming
• Experience with containerisation and Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and/or Bicep
• Proven experience designing applied AI/ML solutions
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design
• Knowledge of FAIR principles for research data

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for digital research applications, integrations, cloud-native platforms, AI and data flows
• Design integration of commercial software and internally developed applications into the existing research IT landscape
• Evaluate commercial software solutions and assess integration requirements and implementation effort
• Define architecture options, Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), reference architectures and phased modernisation roadmaps
• Collaborate with software and data architects, engineers, product owners and application experts on architecture and technical decisions
• Ensure architecture aligns with enterprise standards, IT security policies and applicable regulatory requirements
• Support the design and implementation of PoCs, research applications and integrations when needed

Minimum 3 days onsite per week in the Greater Copenhagen Area.
