Senior Platform Engineer (API & Gateway - Data & AI Platform)

• 5+ years experience in platform or software engineering with expert proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience building APIs and SDKs on distributed services including client libraries
• Proficient in FastAPI, REST/async design, API versioning, and contract testing
• Expertise in designing gateway architectures with orchestration, API integration, and routing
• Knowledge of IAM concepts including RBAC/ABAC models, managed/workload identity, and token delegation flows
• Experience with Azure and GCP, including private endpoints and multi-cloud service integration
• Skills in CI/CD and automation using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with observability tools: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Grafana
• Ability to unify fragmented service landscapes into cohesive products
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

• Design and build APIs and SDKs on distributed platform services using Python/FastAPI
• Define REST/async API design standards, versioning strategies, and contract testing practices
• Develop client libraries for consistent platform service access
• Architect and maintain the gateway layer to unify access to platform services
• Establish orchestration and routing patterns for converging services
• Implement RBAC/ABAC least-privilege authorization models at the gateway level
• Manage identity and token flows including managed/workload identity and delegation
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions with test-first approach
• Produce clear service contracts and documentation to support adoption
• Integrate services across Azure and GCP, leveraging private endpoints for secure communication
• Implement observability using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, and Grafana
• Use metrics, traces, and logs for debugging and performance tuning in production
