VMware Support & Technical Advisor Consultant

This is a contract role for a leading company in the pharmaceutical-biotechnology sector. The position combines operational support and project advisory tasks related to VMware infrastructure.

• Practical experience administering and troubleshooting VMware vSphere 8, vCenter, and vSAN 8.
• Experience designing architecture, building clusters, deployments, configuration, upgrades, and migrations in VMware.
• Experience with 2-node vSAN clusters and witness hosts.
• Strong knowledge of HA, redundancy, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Experience with enterprise-grade server and storage environments.
• Knowledge of storage solutions, particularly Dell, IBM FlashSystem, and Dell PowerStore.
• Good knowledge of Fibre Channel and SAN technologies.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions such as Commvault and/or NetBackup.
• Strong diagnostic skills and root cause analysis at L3/L4 level.
• Very good spoken and written Polish language skills.

• Provide L3/L4 support for VMware infrastructure, including diagnostics and resolution of complex incidents and configuration/performance issues.
• Administer, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere 8, vCenter, and vSAN 8 environments.
• Troubleshoot compute, storage, network, HA, vSAN areas, and performance.
• Conduct detailed diagnostics and root cause analysis.
• Design, configure, and implement enterprise-class VMware environments.
• Build and develop vSAN clusters, including witness host configuration.
• Perform technical assessments, infrastructure sizing, and capacity planning.
• Analyze performance and review configurations of existing VMware environments.
• Support migration, upgrades, cluster deployments, and infrastructure modernization.
• Design and optimize high-availability and resilient VMware environments.
• Assist in HA, redundancy, storage, network, and disaster recovery areas.
• Provide technical advice on complex VMware, server, storage, SAN/FC, and backup issues.
