Java Technical Leader

Ness Solution is seeking a Java Technical Leader to join a team implementing a technology transformation program in a large organization.

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing and building web systems
• Strong practical experience with Java
• Willingness to spend about 75% of time coding
• Experience designing and building microservice architecture and distributed systems
• Good knowledge of architectural and integration patterns
• Experience designing API and system integrations
• Practical knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Practical knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and query optimization
• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture
• Knowledge of end-to-end observability
• Understanding of application security principles
• Experience with code review, mentoring, and technical team leadership
• Experience in cross-team collaboration and making technical decisions
• Ability to identify and assess technical risks
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level
• Availability to work in Warsaw in a hybrid model (3 days office, 2 days remote)

Nice to have:

• Practical knowledge of Azure or other public cloud
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Experience with AI in SDLC
• Knowledge of Agentic AI and AI use in development
• Experience automating development work using AI tools

• Design and implement solutions based on Java and microservice architecture
• Develop and evolve API, integrations, and distributed systems
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decisions
• Design solutions using architectural patterns, Event-Driven Architecture, and DDD
• Ensure quality, performance, security, and scalability
• Analyze and estimate business and technical requirements
• Collaborate with Product Owners, analysts, and architects on feasibility and risk identification
• Participate in Discovery and Inception workshops and break down Epics into Features
• Conduct code review and mentor team members
• Support the team in solving complex technical problems
• Cooperate with project, architecture, integration teams, and external vendors
• Contribute to development of CI/CD, DevOps, and observability practices
• Work with solutions using Docker and Kubernetes
• Identify and escalate technical risks
• Support use of AI and Agentic AI in software development and automation of development work
