Microsoft Database Administrator (m/f/n)

This position is for an experienced Microsoft Database Administrator to work on a long-term international project supporting critical Microsoft database services in a highly secure environment for a European Union organization in the defence sector.

• EU citizenship is mandatory
• Minimum education level: 6
• Minimum English proficiency level: B2 (certificate may be required)
• At least 5 years of IT relevant professional experience
• At least 3 years experience in a similar position
• Personal security clearance required (screening within first 45 days)
• Experience administering complex MS SQL Server systems in distributed environments
• Expertise in optimizing, tuning, and capacity planning for databases
• Proficiency in scripting MS SQL databases, data transformations, and ETL tools including cloud services
• Experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence on-premises tools
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric tools and services
• Hands-on experience with monitoring systems and virtual infrastructure administration
• Basic knowledge of other Microsoft systems administration
• Experience working in restricted environments
• Knowledge of DBPlus Performance Monitor application
• Experience creating and managing Always On deployments
• Mastery of recovery models (Full, Simple, Bulk-Logged) and disaster recovery methodologies
• Expertise with tools like SQL Profiler, Execution Plans, and Dynamic Management Views (DMVs)

Required Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate

Equivalent industry certifications demonstrating comparable expertise may also be considered.
