Senior Software Engineer

Competition Management & Digital Engagement (CMDE) is a key engineering organization within Sportradar that builds and operates products helping sports organizations manage competitions, run tournaments, distribute sports content, and deliver high-quality digital experiences for fans.

• 15+ years of professional software development experience, including responsibility for business-critical production systems.
• Expert-level knowledge of C#, .NET, APIs, asynchronous programming, performance, testing, and modern software design practices.
• Proven ability to design and operate distributed systems in production using cloud platforms and contemporary architecture patterns.
• Experience in independent ownership of complex initiatives from architecture, delivery, through production operation and incident learning.
• Strong record of mentoring engineers and conducting technical reviews.
• Clear communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including explaining trade-offs and building alignment.
• Experience with sports technology, competition-management platforms, enterprise SaaS, or similarly complex operational domains.
• Demonstrated Snooker domain expertise, including competition structures, tournament formats, scheduling, scoring, results, statistics, and operational workflows.

• Design, build, and operate scalable, high-performance services and applications using C# and .NET.
• Take independent ownership of complex technical initiatives from initial design through production delivery and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to architecture decisions across distributed systems, APIs, cloud platforms, and event-driven services.
• Guide platform modernization balancing delivery needs, operational risk, technical debt, and long-term maintainability.
• Mentor engineers through code review, pairing, design guidance, and constructive feedback.
• Drive improvements in reliability, security, observability, performance, testing, and engineering practices.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to align technical decisions with customer and organizational value.
• Build expertise across competition management, tournament operations, scheduling, results, statistics, and digital engagement.
