• Participate in interviews and ensure well-calibrated recruitment of engineers.
• Identify flight risks and take steps to retain employees by addressing underlying issues.
• Provide and facilitate constructive feedback.
• Set high performance standards and manage performance concerns within the team.
• Represent engineers in calibration and promotion forums to support career progression.
• Foster healthy team dynamics and resolve interpersonal conflicts.
• Build relationships with peers in product, design, data, and customer success to align on strategic decisions.
• Translate company objectives and engineering goals into tasks ensuring autonomy for team members.
• Strong backend technical skills, especially in Java and AWS infrastructure.
• Competent communicator in English.
• Experience implementing an AIDLC is a distinct advantage.

• Lead a team of 10 with full responsibility for technical and delivery outcomes, including quality, security, performance, and scalability.
• Create a culture of ownership and accountability within the team by pushing for effective decisions and removing blockers.
• Organize work, set milestones, and ensure engineering or quality backlog is prioritized and communicated to Product Owners.
• Empower engineers by promoting testing, automation, observability, and documentation.
• Track engineering and quality metrics and improve delivery processes.
• Manage incidents affecting the team and ensure on-call rotas and playbooks are established.
• Maintain shipping cadence balancing short-term and long-term priorities and unblock others as needed.
• Improve developer experience and software development lifecycle at XTM.
• Communicate team progress and raise visibility of achievements with stakeholders.
• Support implementation of an AIDLC and promote agent driven development.
