Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer

• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible or similar configuration management tools.
• Experience with Terraform or equivalent IaC tooling.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure or platform changes.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of database infrastructure and operational processes including provisioning, configuration, patching, backup, and restore.
• Experience with Git, branching strategies, and code review workflows.
• Good understanding of infrastructure security, including secrets management and least-privilege access.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good English communication skills and ability to work across engineering and operations teams.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Experience with observability tools and SRE practices, including metrics, logs, traces, SLIs/SLOs, and error budgets.
• Experience with policy-as-code and compliance automation.
• Experience integrating automation with ITSM/change management processes.
• Knowledge of enterprise tooling such as artifact repositories, secrets vaults, and CMDB.

• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for on-prem infrastructure including compute, storage, network, operating system, and database components.
• Develop reusable automation modules and templates using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Automate OS and database provisioning, configuration, patching, hardening, and compliance activities.
• Design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform automation.
• Implement pipeline controls such as approvals, audit trails, secrets management, and change traceability.
• Collaborate with OS/DB Patching and Platform Engineering teams to automate infrastructure operations and reduce manual work.
• Create infrastructure monitoring, alerts, and dashboards focused on availability, performance, capacity, and deployment success.
• Participate in incident management and on-call/rota support.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement automated fixes to prevent recurring incidents.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, runbooks, operating procedures, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
