Senior DevOps Engineer

The role is within a team of 5 DevOps / Infrastructure Engineers working on AWS infrastructure for a banking/FinTech client. The project uses English as the project language and offers 100% remote work with occasional business trips to Sweden. This is a B2B contract with 12-month contracts plus prolongations.

• Several years of experience operating business-critical AWS environments with technical ownership of complex infrastructure and DevOps topics
• Hands-on AWS cloud architecture maintenance and improvement
• Experience with AWS EKS / Kubernetes / Docker / containers management
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Ability to import and migrate manually created AWS resources into Terraform / IaC
• Infrastructure automation and configuration management experience
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab and/or Octopus Deploy
• Proficient in Bash and Python scripting
• Monitoring and observability expertise using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Zabbix
• Experience with centralized logging and production troubleshooting
• Knowledge of AWS networking (VPCs, routing, load balancing, DNS, connectivity)
• Cloud and infrastructure security knowledge including IAM, roles, policies, and least-privilege access
• Vulnerability management, patching, and security hardening skills
• Backup, disaster recovery, availability, and platform reliability experience
• Incident handling and root cause analysis
• Cost awareness and optimization of AWS environments

Nice to Have:

• Experience with additional monitoring platforms beyond Grafana and Prometheus
• Background in incident handling and root cause analysis
• Knowledge of AWS cost optimization strategies

• Work within a team of 5 DevOps / Infrastructure Engineers
• Own AWS infrastructure, improve architecture and operational standards
• Automate manual processes and migrate existing infrastructure toward Infrastructure as Code
• Improve stability, security, automation, observability, and cloud architecture across hybrid infrastructure
• Standardize, document, and automate existing infrastructure
• Implement solutions directly in AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, or Terraform
• Challenge existing solutions to improve cloud architecture, security, reliability, automation, and operational efficiency
