Senior Architect - Data Products & Domain APIs

emagine Polska is offering a senior architecture role based in Stockholm or Helsinki, focusing on banking technology and domain-oriented data products and APIs across the bank. The role requires collaboration with architects, engineers, product managers, and senior stakeholders to create scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.

• Significant experience in Solution Architecture, Domain Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or comparable senior architecture roles.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering enterprise-scale data, API, and integration solutions.
• Experience leading architecture across multiple teams, products, or technology domains.
• Strong understanding of banking technology and business processes.
• Experience with Core Banking platforms is highly desirable.
• Experience working in complex, regulated environments with demanding security, resilience, and data governance requirements.
• Must have knowledge of Security, API design and governance, Solution architecture, Governance, DevOps, automation, roadmap planning, Data architecture, SAFe, and scalability.

Lead architecture across domains:

• Define and evolve the architecture vision, principles, and roadmap for Data Products and Domain APIs.
• Align business capabilities, data assets, APIs, and technology platforms across multiple delivery streams.
• Oversee end-to-end solution architecture and coordinate software architects embedded in delivery streams.
• Identify interfaces, data flows, cross-domain dependencies, and guide solution evaluation.

Drive data product excellence:

• Establish patterns and standards for domain-owned data products that are discoverable, trustworthy, reusable, and governed.
• Clarify data ownership, product boundaries, quality expectations, metadata, lineage, and lifecycle responsibilities.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to maximize value and safe use of data.
• Promote modern data architecture practices including data product thinking and domain ownership.

Shape the domain API landscape:

• Define API-first architecture principles, design standards, governance, and lifecycle management.
• Guide domain boundaries, API contracts, versioning, security, and reusable integration patterns.
• Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, resilient, observable, and user-friendly.
• Support event-driven and service-oriented integration approaches.

Build resilient, delivery-ready solutions:

• Define solution-level functional and non-functional requirements including availability, performance, security, scalability, resilience, and operability.
• Define subsystems, interfaces, responsibilities, and integration context.
• Maintain architectural runway for sustainable delivery and change.
• Enable Continuous Delivery and DevOps via design guidelines, automation, and advocacy.

Collaborate and influence:

• Work with Product and Solution Management, business stakeholders, engineering teams, Enterprise Architects, and external suppliers.
• Contribute architectural expertise to planning, design, demonstrations, and exploration.
• Help shape architectural enablers including capacity allocation for enablement work.
• Communicate complex architecture decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor architects and engineering teams, foster collaboration, and enable decentralized decision-making.
