Design data models and reference architectures optimized for BigQuery, applying partitioning, clustering and query optimisation techniques.
Lead integration efforts for ingesting and consolidating data from multiple source systems, ensuring consistency and lineage.
Define and document data governance policies, data dictionaries, metadata standards and lineage documentation in collaboration with data stewards and owners.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to align business definitions and semantic models with technical implementations.
Assess and improve data quality controls, implement monitoring and remediation guidance for data issues.
Work alongside data engineers and implementation teams to deliver efficient, scalable and secure data solutions on GCP.
Advise on GCP security controls, IAM, encryption, audit trails and access control for data environments.
Identify cost drivers and recommend optimisation measures for storage, query execution and processing on BigQuery and related services.
Contribute to governance operating models and role definitions for data owners, data stewards and other governance roles.
