Quantitative Analysis, AVP

State Street is one of the largest custodian banks, asset managers and asset intelligence companies in the world. The team is responsible for developing and launching new data products derived from State Street and third-party data to create value for both the company and its customers. They operate within the Institutional Services function serving asset managers, asset owners, insurance companies, and official institutions globally.

• Strong computer programming skills, preferably with experience in Python and PL/SQL.
• Experience in processing, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets for quantitative research, product development, or client services.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating across teams.
• Self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities and driving solutions forward.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, data science, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in quantitative research, product development, data analytics, or investment-related roles.
• Experience working with financial market data, including public and private market datasets.

• Conduct market research to identify trends, client needs, and opportunities for new data products.
• Assist in developing product requirements, user stories, and specifications for new data products.
• Collaborate with data engineers and technology teams to design, prototype, and build data products and analytics tools.
• Work with users to gather feedback and iterate on solutions.
• Help integrate and manage market and vendor data, ensuring data quality and reliability.
• Implement research data products, such as investor behavior and risk indicators, in partnership with the Global Markets Research team.
• Maintain existing data products and support client deliverables.
• Maintain documentation of product features, data models, and user guidelines.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies related to data intelligence.
