Product Documentation Writer

Fundraise Up is a global fundraising platform serving nonprofit organizations worldwide, including UNICEF and the Alzheimer’s Association. The company operates a large and complex product ecosystem with modern checkout experiences, customizable widgets, portals, admin tools, and internal apps. The team consists of over 160 product professionals, including 80+ engineers mainly based across multiple countries. The platform focuses on faster load times, higher conversion rates, global payment support, and accessibility-first design.

• Minimum 3 years of experience writing technical or product documentation or tech content
• Proven ability to own documentation end-to-end with responsibility for accuracy and clarity
• Near-native written English proficiency (C1/C2 level) with clean, precise prose
• Working knowledge of Russian sufficient to understand product behavior from a Russian-speaking team
• Comfort with technical material, including reading technical specs and basic API behavior
• Ability to produce video content such as screen-recorded walkthroughs
• Self-sufficiency and ability to improve older documentation without hand-holding
• Ability to work in a fast-moving environment with shifting contexts and priorities

Nice To Have:

• Experience with REST APIs and developer-facing documentation
• Background in editorial processes, either leading or contributing
• Experience in product marketing or UX writing
• Experience working in a bilingual Russian/English product or engineering organization

• Own customer-facing release documentation, ensuring publication coincides with release dates
• Confirm published content against actual product behavior rather than specifications
• Manage feedback queues by triaging and fixing live articles
• Maintain and update older documentation to meet current standards
• Produce and maintain screenshots, screen recordings, and walkthroughs for releases
• Collaborate with English-speaking colleagues across departments to identify documentation gaps
