Game Designer

PARASIGHT is an independent game development studio and the creator of the critically acclaimed action-adventure game BLACKTAIL, inspired by the legend of Baba Yaga. Their latest title, DAVY x JONES, launched in Early Access in 2025, represents the next chapter in the studio's journey.

• 3+ years’ experience in game design with at least one shipped AA+/AAA title
• Strong design and analytical skills
• Solid understanding of game mechanics and player psychology
• Experience with Unreal Engine 5; Blueprint experience is a strong advantage
• Ability to clearly communicate design decisions across disciplines
• Strong ownership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Team player with excellent communication
• Passionate gamer enthusiastic about various game genres and mechanics

Nice to have:

• Previous experience or knowledge in narrative design or world-building

• Conceptualize, design, and prototype core gameplay mechanics using UE 5 ensuring alignment with the game's creative vision and player experience goals
• Take ownership of assigned gameplay features from concept through implementation, iteration, balancing, and polish
• Coordinate implementation of features, identify dependencies and risks early, and keep design work moving forward
• Develop detailed game documentation including feature outlines, gameplay scenarios, and design specifications
• Support playtesting, analyze feedback, and turn findings into concrete design improvements
