Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer with OAuth

Endava partners with WTW (Willis Towers Watson) supporting their Insurance Consulting and Technology Division by building dedicated software engineering teams. WTW is a global leader in P&C, Life and Health insurance software and advisory services, trusted by over 1,000 insurers worldwide.

Software Engineering:

• 6+ years commercial software development experience with C# and modern .NET.
• Strong REST API design and development skills.
• Experience building scalable enterprise or shared platform services.
• Solid object-oriented programming and software design knowledge.

Identity & Security:

• Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and JWT.
• Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization concepts.
• Experience integrating with enterprise identity providers.
• Understanding of secure API design and identity-based access control.

Cloud & Platform Engineering:

• Experience with cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Understanding of Azure API Management or similar API Gateway technologies.

Front-End Development:

• Experience developing Angular applications using TypeScript.
• Experience building administrative or developer-facing web applications.

Engineering Practices:

• Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, API).
• Agile Scrum team experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple product teams.
• Ability to influence technical outcomes and communicate delivery risks.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with Auth0, Fine-Grained Authorization (FGA), Google Zanzibar authorization model, Azure API Management (APIM), SCIM integrations, Identity Federation, Datadog, Playwright, Trivy, GitLeaks, Invicti.
• Experience building reusable developer platforms and enterprise shared services.

Identity Platform Development:

• Design, develop and maintain authentication and authorization services using modern .NET technologies.
• Develop reusable platform services supporting secure authentication and authorization.
• Build scalable REST APIs and integration services.
• Develop and maintain Angular-based administration portals.
• Contribute to Fine-Grained Authorization (FGA) and centralized access management.

Platform Services & Developer Experience:

• Develop reusable SDKs, libraries, and APIs for enterprise identity platform integration.
• Build developer tooling for onboarding and adoption of shared authentication services.
• Maintain technical documentation.
• Design stable, reusable platform interfaces.
• Lead technical work packages and guide other engineers.

Cloud & Platform Engineering:

• Develop cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure.
• Build and maintain reverse proxy capabilities using Azure API Management.
• Support Infrastructure as Code using OpenTofu/Terraform.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Azure DevOps.

Engineering Excellence:

• Write unit, integration, and automated tests.
• Participate in peer reviews and design sessions.
• Promote Clean Code, automated testing, and secure software practices.
• Mentor less experienced engineers.

Operations & Collaboration:

• Participate in third-line production support and on-call rotation.
• Investigate production issues.
• Collaborate with multiple product teams integrating with the platform.
• Contribute to long-term Endava ownership of the Authentication & Authorization capability.
