Technical Team Leader

Morele.net is a leader in the Polish e-commerce market segment distributing consumer electronics (computers, laptops, computer components, RTV, household appliances). It is an e-commerce platform aggregating D2C brands in Poland and expanding to foreign markets. The IT Development Department seeks an experienced Technical Team Leader to join a team focused on developing and maintaining Morele.net systems that significantly impact company profits.

• Minimum 2 years experience in team leadership or technical mentoring
• Ability to motivate people and foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing atmosphere
• Clear communication of goals, priorities, and technical decisions
• Assumes responsibility for technical direction and team work quality
• At least 5 years of commercial programming experience with strong technical background
• Ability to solve complex programming problems with clear and optimal implementations
• Very good knowledge of PHP 7.x, PHP 8.x, and PHP frameworks (preferably Symfony)
• Good understanding of relational databases with practical experience
• Communicative level of English
• Experience with queueing systems
• Commitment to code quality and readability
• Proficient in writing unit and acceptance tests
• Practical knowledge of AI tools in programming and understanding of AI models used in prompt engineering
• Enjoys teamwork, proposing solutions, and participating actively in team discussions
• Broad system understanding to integrate diverse components in a complex ecosystem

Nice to have:

• Commercial experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Event Driven Architecture
• Knowledge of Docker as a developer tool
• Experience with NoSQL databases
• Programming skills in JavaScript (React.js or Vue.js preferred)

• Lead and coordinate the work of a development team, ensuring effective sprint execution
• Motivate the team, provide regular feedback, and support the development of technical competencies
• Support the team in technical decision-making and problem-solving
• Introduce engineering best practices and maintain high work quality standards
• Foster a culture of collaboration, openness, and technical responsibility
• Model, build, extend, and maintain APIs and services aligned with organizational strategies and technology environment
• Collaborate closely with target clients from concept to deployment, using dynamic, short business meetings
• Cooperate with other teams based on API contracts or event streams
• Share knowledge and experience within the team
• Analyze system load, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve platform stability and performance
• Refine business requirements, estimate complexity, and plan scalable architecture
• Work on large-scale systems with event-driven architecture and queue-based event distribution
• Collaborate in two-week iterations with a dedicated Product Owner and Scrum Master

The position requires hybrid work: for employees from Kraków and vicinity, 2 days in the office and 3 days remotely; for those outside Małopolska, a minimum of 2 days in the office per month.
