Senior Python Developer

EY GDS Poland is part of a global integrated service delivery center network by EY, with 40,000 specialists worldwide providing IT, project management, and strategic business services to EY member firms and clients globally. The team works across nine international locations and collaborates with various EY service lines, sectors, and geographies.

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with Python
• Hands-on experience with at least one web framework (Django, Flask, FastAPI)
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
• Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Experience with GIT and CI/CD practices
• Understanding of Clean Code, Design Patterns, and Software Development Lifecycle
• Knowledge of Rest API design
• Experience working in agile methodologies
• Ability to write clear, structured, maintainable, and tested code
• Experience working in international and multicultural environments
• Logical thinking and ability to convert complex requirements into actionable code

Nice to have:

• Experience with backend technologies like node.js
• Frontend knowledge (Angular, React)
• Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed

• Participate in building complete solutions from top to bottom
• Write and maintain scalable, performant, and well-documented code
• Work on international projects within multicultural teams
• Cooperate with R&D teams to identify and implement best practices and new software technologies
• Report progress of R&D projects and document implementation results
• Follow engineering standards and use testing libraries such as Pytest and Unittest

Additional responsibilities:

• Participate in software consulting implementation projects focusing on new solution development and system functionality expansion
• Write unit tests as part of the development process
