Senior Java Dveloper

The project focuses on developing a system for calculating counterparty credit risk globally using advanced analytical models. It involves building a new generation engine migrating to cloud (Google Cloud Platform) and replacing vendor solutions with internally developed analytical libraries. The platform consists of microservices based on modern open-source technologies and operates in both Google Cloud Platform and on-premise infrastructures.

• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in Java
• Experience working with distributed systems
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Practical experience with TDD
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices
• Ability to make technical decisions and mentor others
• Very good communication skills (global work environment)
• Proficiency in English and Polish at minimum B2 level
• Willingness to work from the Krakow office twice a week

Nice to have:

• Experience in investment banking
• Knowledge of Hystrix, Eureka, Zuul, Sleuth, Feign, Ribbon
• Experience with Apache Beam and Apache Flink
• Knowledge of Python

• Develop and maintain microservices related to Counterparty Credit Risk
• Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable Java code
• Participate in the full product lifecycle from problem analysis to deployment and adoption measurement
• Work in a TDD model
• Collaborate with teams in Krakow, UK, and Asia (mainly China)
• Ensure system performance, availability, reliability, and security
• Mentor and coach other engineers
• Support platform operations including incident handling, monitoring, and problem management
• Develop tools to automate production support

Required language skills: English and Polish at minimum B2 level. Hybrid work mode with office presence in Krakow twice a week.
