Embedded Automated Test & Test System Engineer

Verkada Poland builds embedded systems such as Access Control, Cameras, Sensors, and Alarms with a small autonomous team focused on embedded software engineering, integrating hardware with UI and server components.

• Over 5 years of experience in testing hardware devices, embedded systems, or software testing.
• Experience building CI systems for embedded platforms.
• Experience in creating test strategies.
• Experience designing and developing automated test cases for hardware devices such as HIL.
• Proficient in Python.
• Linux user.
• Knowledge of GitHub.
• Ability to work in Polish daily (minimum C1 level).
• Ability to commute to the Verkada office in Kraków every Thursday.

Nice to have:

• Basic understanding of electronics.
• Basic use of lab equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope).
• Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (NFC, Bluetooth, UWB).
• Experience with BDD methodology (Gherkin syntax).
• Programming skills in C, C++, Go.
• Bash scripting skills.
• Experience with Yocto.
• Experience with TeamCity and GitHub Actions.

• Define and create automated test system architecture for embedded systems like Access Control, Cameras, Sensors, Alarms.
• Take part in choosing technologies used in the automated test system.
• Build and set up CI systems, develop needed scripts with the team.
• Define and develop automated test cases, create test strategies.
• Lead automated test case development in a cross-functional engineering team.
• Create test suites for smoke tests, performance tests, and functional testing.
• Set up test management solutions and automated test results reporting with the team.
• Use tools including Jira, GitHub, and Git in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Must commute to Verkada office in Kraków every Thursday; daily Polish language proficiency at minimum C1 level required.
