Senior/Lead Full Stack Java Developer

Senior/Lead Full Stack Java Developer position at Upvanta supporting development and modernization of key projects for European institutions.

• Higher education (EQF Level 7, master's degree or equivalent)
• Minimum 15 years of professional IT and software development experience
• At least 15 years of practical experience with: Java, SQL, Spring Boot, Hibernate, database design, query optimization, and performance
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB
• Minimum 10 years of experience with Git (including GitFlow or trunk-based development)
• Knowledge of SVN version control
• At least 5 years' experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Apache Kafka and integration of distributed systems
• At least 2 years of experience with large-scale grant or public fund management systems
• Minimum 2 years experience with PM2-Agile methodology
• Experience developing multilingual applications supporting over 10 language versions
• Experience building Angular component libraries (e.g., eUI)
• Very good knowledge of REST API, OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and AWS or Azure
• English language proficiency at C1 or higher level

Nice to have:

• Experience in projects for European Union institutions or public administration
• Knowledge of French language
• Developer certifications for AWS or Azure

• Designing and developing scalable full-stack applications using Java and Angular
• Creating and maintaining backend services and modern web applications
• Designing and developing secure APIs and integrations between distributed systems
• Implementing database-driven functionalities and optimizing application performance
• Ensuring code quality, security, testability, and solution performance
• Deploying applications in cloud environments using CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Developing multilingual applications and reusable Angular component libraries
