Senior Software Engineer - React Native - Business Services

• 5+ years of software development experience including building and shipping mobile applications with React Native
• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and React, with modern frontend development experience
• Proven ability to own projects or mobile releases from initial requirements through production delivery
• Excellent organizational skills managing priorities, dependencies, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Collaborative mindset with flexibility to contribute across products and codebases
• Experience working with APIs, frontend testing, mobile performance, and modern build and deployment pipelines
• Sound technical judgment with attention to quality and reliability

Nice to haves:

• Experience with native iOS or Android development using Swift or Kotlin
• Familiarity with Node.js or backend contributions
• Experience building real-time functionality using WebSockets or asynchronous architectures
• Familiarity with customer-support platforms or customer-experience tooling and APIs
• Experience managing iOS and Android build, deployment, and release processes
• Working knowledge of Rust, Go, or C++
• Experience working across multiple products or teams in a large organization
• Experience in crypto, fintech, consumer finance, or regulated product environments

• Develop and maintain mobile experiences using React Native and TypeScript across multiple Kraken products
• Own initiatives end to end from clarifying requirements through implementation, release, and post-launch iteration
• Build support-related functionality including in-product messaging, chat experiences, content, banners, modals, and voice-call capabilities
• Adapt approaches for performance, design precision, reliability, or maintainability as needed per product
• Collaborate across Product, Design, mobile, web, and backend teams to align and drive initiatives
• Write clean, well-tested code, participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and mobile release processes
• Contribute to real-time experiences using APIs and WebSockets, including Kraken-built alternatives to third-party support tools
• Improve shared architecture, components, and development practices across web and mobile contributions
