Director, Site Reliability Engineering

• 10+ years relevant experience in reliability, platform, infrastructure, or software engineering
• 4+ years leading SRE teams
• Experience in 24x7 on-call rotation for large-scale deployments
• Proficient in AI-driven development including designing agentic workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills with focus on metrics
• Experience developing effective reliability tools and responses
• Investigative skills for root-causing instability issues
• Deep experience with Linux and web technologies
• Ability to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
• Advanced programming skills for close collaboration with software engineers
• Experience leveraging cloud-native services and deploying with Docker and Docker Compose

• Ensure the Duck.ai product meets reliability standards and minimize user friction on failures
• Scale index infrastructure to handle billions of documents
• Create anti-fraud verifications respecting user privacy
• Dive into complex operational challenges including software, systems, automation, and process analysis
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for a large-scale deployment
• Lead and collaborate on high-impact projects from proposal through postmortem
• Develop tools, services, alerts, and responses to identify and address reliability risks
• Root-cause sources of instability in high-traffic, distributed systems
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux and web technologies
• Implement automation for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
• Partner with software engineers to triage production issues and implement remediations
• Leverage cloud-native services and architectures to improve reliability and scalability
• Package and deploy applications using Docker and Docker Compose

• Must be willing to attend meetings on camera via video conferencing
• Expected to travel approximately twice annually for company meetups and retreats
