C++/UE5 Developer

Byte Barrel is a game studio from Gdańsk founded in 2017. They have released successful games including Forgive Me Father and its sequel Forgive Me Father 2. Their projects use the Unreal Engine.

• Completed at least one commercial project
• Minimum 2 years of programming experience in C++ and Unreal Engine
• Proficient knowledge of C++ and Unreal Engine 5
• Familiarity with game architectures and design patterns
• Proactive attitude
• Ability to read and write technical documentation in Polish and English
• Experience with version control systems, especially GIT
• Teamwork skills and ability to manage tasks independently

Nice to have:

• Experience with projects on PC, consoles, and VR platforms
• Experience in multiplayer game development
• Knowledge of networking technologies in Unreal Engine
• Knowledge of multithreaded programming
• Knowledge of AI mechanisms in UE5
• Familiarity with animation and physics systems in UE5
• Knowledge about rendering and graphics optimization
• Experience developing custom tools and plugins for Unreal Engine
• Ability to apply design patterns and best practices in game programming

• Participate in planning and designing new game ideas
• Implement new mechanics and game elements in Unreal Engine 5 (C++/Blueprint)
• Develop and optimize existing projects, including bug fixing and version upgrades
• Create and enhance tools that support game production
• Provide technical support to the team
• Analyze and apply best practices in game coding and architecture
