Machine Learning Engineer

AXA Avanssur SA Oddział II w Polsce is an internal software house operating within the international insurance group AXA. They provide IT solutions for AXA companies in Europe and work in English, developing international projects. They are launching an MLOps initiative to modernize actuarial pricing models and develop an AI-powered platform leveraging GenAI for document processing workflows.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field.
• Mastery of Data Science frameworks such as pandas, pyspark, sklearn, and shap and MLOps frameworks like MLFlow, Kedro, Airflow, Hyperopt, Optuna, and Great Expectations using Python.
• Experience building GenAI agentic workflows using Langchain or smolagents.
• Basic familiarity with dashboarding tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
• Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies including CI/CD, and experience implementing workflows with GitHub Actions or similar.
• Experience serving models with APIs using Flask or FastAPI.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, GCP and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Extremely high attention to detail and rigor.

• Create continuous integration templates tailored for model development ensuring version control, testing, and reproducibility of actuarial pricing models and datasets.
• Collaborate closely with ML Engineering team and actuaries to audit and optimize reliability and scalability of model training pipelines.
• Develop monitoring strategies to track system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Manage end-to-end operation of AI platform to ensure high availability, responsive performance, and secure data handling during document ingestion and processing.
• Oversee integration and management of cloud resources to optimize cost, performance, and compliance with security standards.
