• Strong knowledge of async Python, especially asyncio internals.
• Experience with static typing tools: mypy, golangci-lint.
• Familiarity with async testing frameworks and CI environment.
• Deep understanding of network protocols (L2/L3/L4), VLANs, TCP/IP stack including IPv4 and IPv6.
• Practical experience with telemetry protocols: IPFIX, NetFlow, sFlow.
• Ability to perform packet capture and crafting for debugging.
• Experience in network device automation over SSH/CLI and vendor APIs (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Palo Alto).
• Proficient in Protocol Buffers schema design and code generation.
• Experience with Kafka producer/consumer semantics and optionally NSQ/NATS.
• Familiarity with columnar/timeseries databases like ClickHouse.
• Skilled in performance profiling and optimizing allocation, GC, lock contention.
• Knowledge of Linux internals, including sockets, epoll, sysctl tuning, cgroups.
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes deployments.
• Understanding of packaging static binaries with upgrade and rollback capability.
• Knowledge of IPC mechanisms like ZeroMQ.

Core languages:

• Develop concurrent services and UDP/TCP servers using Go.
• Work with async programming in Python, focusing on asyncio internals, async HTTP clients/servers, and multiprocess worker pools.

Quality discipline:

• Use static typing tools like mypy and golangci-lint.
• Implement formatters, linters, and pre-commit gates.
• Write async unit tests, snapshot tests, load tests in CI.
• Maintain dependency and CVE hygiene with reproducible pinned builds.

Networking depth:

• Work with L2/L3/L4 packets, VLANs, MAC/IP semantics, TCP flags, MTU/fragmentation, IPv4 and IPv6.
• Handle flow telemetry protocols: IPFIX, NetFlow, sFlow, including template-based decode and loss handling.
• Perform packet capture and crafting for debugging.
• Automate network device configuration over SSH/CLI and vendor APIs (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Palo Alto), including idempotent config push and drift detection.

Data movement:

• Design and manage Protocol Buffers schemas, evolution, and code generation.
• Work with Kafka producer/consumer semantics including partitioning, acknowledgments, batching, compression, SASL/Kerberos, and lag diagnosis; NSQ/NATS as a plus.
• Manage columnar/timeseries sinks like ClickHouse or similar.

Performance engineering:

• Routine profiling focusing on allocation, GC pressure, lock contention, zero-copy paths.
• Employ suitable data structures like LPM/Patricia tries for subnet lookup, LRU caches, fast hashing.
• Generate load and conduct sustained throughput testing.

Systems and delivery:

• Utilize Linux internals: sockets, epoll, sysctl tuning, cgroups/resource limits.
• eBPF knowledge is a strong plus.
• Work with containers and Kubernetes, including multi-stage builds, fast development loops, manifests.
• Deliver self-contained binaries including static/frozen builds, packaging (deb/rpm), upgrade and rollback strategies.
• Use IPC patterns like ZeroMQ or equivalents.

Distributed state:

• Design cache/state synchronization with eventual consistency, reconnect-and-resync mechanisms, idempotent replay.

Identity and cloud integrations (plus):

• Manage Windows/AD plumbing: WinRM, SMB, Kerberos.
• Work with a major cloud SDK (Azure or AWS) for asset and log ingestion.
