Global SAP MDG Technical Lead - Material/Product Data

This position is with a large international FMCG organisation focusing on global Master Data Management transformation.

• 5+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Architecture, or related areas in complex multinational environments.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing SAP Master Data solutions, particularly SAP MDG / MDG-M.
• Experience with relevant SAP technologies such as SAP MDG, HANA, Data Services and related integration solutions.
• Strong understanding of Material/Product Master Data, data models, workflows, and governance.
• Experience designing integrations between SAP MDG and upstream/downstream enterprise systems.
• Ability to design and optimize complex business processes, data models, and workflows.
• Experience in Solution Architecture working with complex application landscapes.
• Previous exposure to large-scale transformation programmes, ideally involving SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience working with global stakeholders, technical teams, functional experts, and third-party vendors.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to operate independently within a matrix organisation.
• FMCG / Consumer Products experience and knowledge of Product/Material data are highly beneficial.
• Fluent English.

• Lead the technical implementation of SAP MDG-M (Material/Product) initiatives including continuous improvement and transformation projects.
• Provide technical expertise on the existing SAP MDG landscape and support major transformation programmes.
• Own and drive MDG solution design and integration architecture across upstream and downstream systems.
• Support development of a consistent enterprise-wide view of Product and Material Master Data lifecycle.
• Contribute to improvements in enterprise data models, SAP MDG templates, integrations, data quality, and reporting.
• Partner with Master Data domain leads, functional experts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Assess business requirements to determine system enhancements, architectural changes, or business process transformations.
• Ensure technical solutions follow agreed architecture and design governance standards.
• Coordinate with internal technical teams and external implementation partners to deliver solutions as designed.
• Provide technical leadership across global stakeholders and communicate progress, risks, issues, and dependencies to senior stakeholders.
• Potentially coordinate a small number of external contractors.

Candidates must work standard business hours within their respective region/time zone. The position is remote with Americas preferred; Europe also considered.
