AI Product Engineer

zeroToOne designs and builds digital products including ERP and CRM systems, B2B sales portals, backoffice panels, and AI- and human-based functions.

• Independently identifying needs, clarifying requirements, and delivering solutions without waiting for tickets.
• Applying critical thinking to question requirements and AI solutions, differentiating functional code from mere appearances.
• Taking responsibility for decision-making and outcomes, including production issues.
• Combining technical and product thinking to understand user needs beyond implementation.
• Minimum three years of experience building web applications, preferably business-oriented (SaaS, B2B, internal systems).
• Daily use of AI programming tools, understanding their capabilities and limitations to avoid technical debt.
• Proficiency with TypeScript both backend (e.g., NestJS, Node.js) and frontend (React).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server): SQL, indexing, transactions, migrations, and ORMs (e.g., Drizzle, Prisma), and knowing when to avoid ORMs.
• Understanding of HTTP and API design, authentication, authorization, data validation, error handling, and concurrency.
• Attention to business data correctness: amounts, quantities, VAT rates, rounding, and document consistency.
• Skills in testing and belief that tests are integral to features.
• Communication skills in Polish and fluent English for working with documentation.

• Building complete functions in business applications from process analysis to deployment and feedback.
• Creating applications using AI agents such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor, including problem breakdown, specification writing, and agent guidance.
• Designing database schemas, writing migrations, optimizing queries on large datasets, and ensuring data consistency.
• Modeling complex business processes like orders, inventory, production, costing, and settlements.
• Integrating external systems like accounting software, e-commerce platforms, supplier APIs, and data imports/exports.
• Developing AI-based features including assistants, document data extraction, and trustworthy automations.
• Ensuring quality through unit, integration, and E2E tests, conducting code reviews including AI-generated code, and monitoring applications post-deployment.
• Engaging with clients via workshops, demos, and discussions on feature priorities.
