Engineering Manager

GetResponse is a SaaS company recognized for its industry-leading email marketing and marketing automation software, serving over 350,000 SMBs and 1,000+ enterprise customers since 1998.

• 5+ years of experience in roles such as Engineering Manager or Team Leader
• Proven track record in people management and leadership
• Experience with two or more programming languages or significant technical software development involvement
• Practical experience with GitLab, Jira, Claude, and ChatGPT
• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Excellent Polish language skills (C2) and English at B2+ level

Nice to have:

• Background as a developer or architect
• Experience working in-house for a product development company
• Background in SaaS product companies
• Experience working in agile environments

Lead and support your teams:

• Take ownership of team performance and key results, working closely with teams and Product Managers
• Monitor team progress, health, and predictability across sprints, cycles, and projects
• Drive continuous improvement of how the teams plan, work, and deliver
• Identify and resolve problems, remove impediments, and ensure teams have necessary tools and resources
• Manage hiring budgets, visibility, and recognition
• Support team culture and team-building activities
• Manage teams’ communication channels

Develop and support people:

• Own the performance and development of people in your teams
• Provide regular feedback and conduct performance evaluations considering soft skills and technical aspects
• Co-create career paths, set goals, and support achievement
• Encourage continuous development and better results
• Provide coaching and mentoring and identify training needs
• Manage salaries, absences, expenses, and bonuses

Contribute to IT:

• Represent IT within your teams and collaborate with other Engineering Managers
• Contribute to IT strategy and drive department initiatives
• Support knowledge sharing and guild activities
