Senior Java Software Developer

EPAM is a global leader in AI transformation engineering and integrated consulting, serving Forbes Global 2000 companies and startups. The team develops and maintains applications for Securities Operations and Corporate Action systems supporting the trade lifecycle in the back office of an Investment Bank.

• 5+ years of experience with Java programming
• Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Maven, Gradle
• Clean coding and refactoring skills
• Hands-on experience with agile methodologies, especially SCRUM
• Awareness of test- and behavior-driven development
• Hands-on experience with SQL and Unix
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to improve older code bases and apply modern best practices
• Proactive and comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (B2 level)

• Develop new features and maintain existing codebase
• Develop streaming applications with Apache Flink
• Write unit, integration, and behavior tests
• Cooperate within a scrum development team
• Collaborate to refine user requirements through behavior-driven development (BDD)
• Collaborate with other global IT teams
• Provide level 3 support and assist production operations team
