Cloud Data Engineer

In4ge is a recruitment company focused on connecting talented employees with suitable companies to create synergistic relationships that contribute to growth and success. The project involves migrating large data warehouses to BigQuery, especially migrations from Snowflake to BigQuery, implemented in a hybrid model with periodic travel to Germany (Munich or Frankfurt).

• Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, building, and implementing Data Engineering solutions.
• Documented experience migrating large data warehouses to BigQuery.
• Very good knowledge of BigQuery and practical experience with Snowflake.
• Experience designing and maintaining Data Lake/Data Warehouse solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• Ability to design scalable cloud solutions and lead technical projects with clients.
• Experience in infrastructure automation, DevOps, and CI/CD processes.
• Possession of the Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.
• Fluent English language skills (mandatory) and German (preferred).
• Willingness to travel to Germany 1–2 times per month.

Nice to have:

• Experience in technical consulting and direct client work.
• Advanced SQL tuning and query cost/performance optimization.
• Experience building streaming data pipelines and knowledge of event delivery semantics.
• Practice in designing and implementing production-grade Big Data cloud solutions.
• Knowledge of the tool Ab Initio.

• Designing and implementing solutions based on Google Cloud Platform in the data domain.
• Leading data warehouse migration projects to BigQuery, particularly migrations from Snowflake to BigQuery.
• Designing and developing high-performance data pipelines (batch and streaming).
• Building and maintaining scalable and secure Data Lake and Data Warehouse on GCP.
• Designing enterprise-class cloud solution architectures and supporting clients throughout the data lifecycle: ingestion, storage, processing, analysis, and visualization.
• Automating infrastructure and developing CI/CD and DevOps processes.
• Collaborating with data analysts, data scientists, and development teams on complex projects.
