Senior Azure Administrator/Tech Lead

Benefit Systems International S.A. is the employer offering the position located in Warszawa, focusing on Microsoft Azure infrastructure, cloud engineering, and IT infrastructure automation and security.

• Minimum five years of experience in IT infrastructure administration, cloud engineering, or similar roles, including significant Microsoft Azure environment experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and practical experience designing, deploying, and maintaining production environments.
• Full lifecycle experience in infrastructure: design, implementation, deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially using Azure Bicep or similar.
• Practical knowledge of Azure DevOps and building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep familiarity with Azure services including Azure Container Apps, Virtual Machines, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Application Gateway, WAF, and networking services.
• Experience designing and maintaining Azure networking: VNET, NSG, VPN, Private Endpoints, DNS, routing.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, IAM, and cloud security.
• Experience administering and hardening Windows and Linux systems.
• Experience implementing and maintaining monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Zabbix, or similar.
• Experience deploying and maintaining third-party applications, integrating them with existing infrastructure, network, security, and monitoring.
• Ability to analyze technical requirements from application vendors and translate them into infrastructure solutions.
• Experience working with containerized applications, especially Azure Container Apps, and knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Good knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Ability to diagnose complex problems across multiple layers: application, OS, network, database, and cloud.
• Experience with RCA, problem management, and proactive environmental stability improvements.
• Ability to independently make technical decisions and take responsibility for complex areas.
• Ability to define technical standards, best practices, and enforce compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with technical teams, business, and external vendors.
• Ability to create clear technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Very good spoken and written English skills (B2/C1).

Nice to have:

• Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, SC-300 or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience as Tech Lead, Technical Owner, or Infrastructure Lead.
• Experience designing Azure solution architecture.
• Experience with Azure Databricks, data engineering/data science processes.
• Experience managing solutions delivered by external vendors.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, Change Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability solutions.
• Experience optimizing Azure environment costs (Azure Cost Management/FinOps).

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Microsoft Azure environments including Virtual Machines, Container Apps, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Application Gateway, and WAF.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards using Azure Bicep and automate provisioning and administrative processes.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps.
• Manage EntraID and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Design and maintain network infrastructure: VNET, NSG, VPN, Private Endpoints, DNS, and routing, integrating Azure with on-premises infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain security solutions, including hardening Windows and Linux servers, access control, and cloud environment protection.
• Manage identity and access using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and related security mechanisms.
• Design and develop monitoring, alerting, and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Zabbix.
• Deploy, maintain, update, and integrate third-party applications and systems in Azure and on-premises.
• Oversee technical aspects of deploying third-party vendor applications, including infrastructure requirement analysis, integration, availability, security, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with external vendors and application teams on issue resolution, change planning, updates, and system migration.
• Analyze dependencies among applications, infrastructure, network, security, databases, and cloud services.
• Lead and coordinate technical infrastructure and application deployments and changes.
• Participate in incident management, problem management, and proactive measures to enhance environment stability.
• Create and develop operational procedures, runbooks, technical documentation, and system maintenance and deployment standards.
• Automate repetitive administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or other tools.
• Serve as Tech Lead in infrastructure and cloud, making technical decisions, defining standards, reviewing solutions, and supporting other engineers.
• Mentor team members on Azure, automation, security, system administration, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with Security, Network, Development, Data teams, and external vendors.
• Keep up with Microsoft Azure technologies and best practices in cloud, DevOps, security, and infrastructure management.
