Senior Data Engineer Remote

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a diverse, product-minded team and support an important data transformation project. This is a 3–4 month full-time project focused on transforming an existing backend — currently largely based on multiple Google Spreadsheets — into a stable and scalable Data Warehouse solution. The role combines hands-on data engineering with a high level of ownership, independence, and collaboration with Finance and Operations teams.

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
• Strong experience designing and building Data Warehouses
• Solid knowledge of data modelling and ETL/ELT processes
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience integrating and migrating data from different sources
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
• Experience with project ownership or project management
• High level of independence and strong problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent English

Nice to have:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform / BigQuery
• Experience working with Google Sheets or Google Workspace data sources
• Experience with BI tools, internal tools, or low-code platforms
• Experience working closely with Finance or Operations teams

• Analyze the current data setup, processes, and existing Google Spreadsheet-based backend
• Design and build a stable and scalable Data Warehouse solution
• Migrate and consolidate data from multiple existing sources
• Build and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformations
• Ensure high data quality, consistency, and maintainability
• Set up a user-friendly frontend/interface for Finance and Operations teams
• Gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Take ownership of the project from initial analysis through implementation and handover
• Manage priorities, dependencies, and timelines independently
• Document the implemented architecture and processes
